How to use it

  • Write at the change table or the feeding chair, not later.
  • One sheet for the whole house, so nobody counts twice.
  • Add the totals at the same time each day and take the week to the nurse.

What is usual?

The sheet does not say what the numbers should be, on purpose. The guides summarise what the health services say, with links: how many wet nappies, what to write in a feeding log and growth percentiles.

Not medical advice. The log is a record-keeping aid, not a medical tool. If you are worried about your baby, speak to your midwife, child health nurse or GP, or call Healthdirect on 1800 022 222.
