We paid eight dollars a month to log poo.
Maxie is made by a parent in Sydney. It started with one baby, two phones and a question neither of us could answer at 3 am.
Two phones, one baby, no answer
We lasted about a fortnight on a shared note before it turned into a mess of half-typed times. So we paid for a tracker.
It did heaps of things we never opened, and missed the one we needed: both of us seeing the same picture. One of us was on Android, one on iPhone. Entries went missing. We ended up sharing a login and still asking each other when he last fed.
That question, asked at 3 am by two people who can't remember their own names, is why Maxie exists.
What we built
Maxie does feeds, nappies, sleep and growth, built for a whole household from day one. It saves to your phone first, so it works with no signal, and hits the other phone about two seconds after you get some.
Sharing is free, on purpose. Charging two parents to see the same baby is what annoyed us enough to start.
What we won't do
No ads, ever
An app that sells your attention gets built to grab it. That's the last thing you want at 3 am.
We don't sell your data
Your baby's records aren't sold or used to train anyone's models. They sit in Sydney and belong to your household.
No medical advice
Maxie shows the WHO growth charts as a reference. Your child health nurse does the rest better than an app can.
Nothing that slows down 3 am
If a feature makes the home screen worse, it doesn't ship.
Where it's up to
Maxie is new. Android is a direct download, and iPhone runs in Expo Go until TestFlight is ready. There are no reviews here because there aren't any yet. Use it on real 3 am feeds and tell us what's broken. That beats a testimonial we wrote ourselves.
